Objectives:

This presentation will demonstrate the capabilities of utilizing uncommon open sources and social media to help build a profile on the subject of interest. We will review, interactively, how to find information from one site and further the research to another site. Thus putting the 'puzzle' pieces together in fraud investigations.

After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand research techniques utilizing online and open-source databases located on the web
  • Identify elements to build a profile on the subject of interest
  • Understand how to compile the information for a fraud investigation
