Nathan Sartorius is an investigator with the Texas Department of Insurance – Division of Workers’ Compensation, Fraud Unit. Prior to joining the Division of Workers’ Compensation Nathan served our country as a Military Policeman with the U.S. Army for over 20 years. Where he held a myriad of investigation and leadership positions. Nathan is originally from west central Illinois. He enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

Workers Compensation Investigations

Nathan will present an overview of workers compensation fraud, recent fraud and abuse schemes in the industry, an area of growing concern that negatively affects health organizations’ financial stability and patient outcomes.

After attending this session, participants will be able to:

• Understand the mission of the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation
• Identify recent fraud and abuse schemes in the industry
• Understand upcoming fraud schemes related to health organizations
